MIS Sweetbread

 2 lbs Flour
 1 lb Sugar
 ¾ cup Butter
 ¼ cup Milk
 3 tsp Baking Powder
 5 ½ tsp Ground Spice
 ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
 3 tsp Mix Essence
 100 g Desiccated Coconut
 2 oz Raisins
 Maraschino Cherries (green and/or red)

In a bowl add flour and butter. Rub between fingers until mixture looks like breadcrumbs.

To breadcrumb mixture add sugar, Ground Cinnamon, Ground Nutmeg, Ground Spice, raisins, Desiccated Coconut and baking powder. Stir well.

Make a hole in the batter and add milk, essence. Knead dough.

If dough is too tough add water to desired texture. Set for at least 15 minutes.

Grease pan and place dough in pan.

Make indents in dough with your finger. Place cherries in holes.

Bake at 375 for at least 1 hour.
